Two Fabios Are Better Than One
Using Two Claude Accounts to Build Cowork Pipelines
I confess: I hit the wall last weekend. 🧱
You know the one. That moment when Claude tells you you’ve used up your allocation and suggests you come back later. Normally I’d pivot to another task, maybe go touch some grass. (I’m in Maryland now, so that’s actually possible.) But I was in the middle of a Fabio (Fable) sprint, and I had momentum. Specs were flying. Pipelines were taking shape. I wasn’t ready to stop.
My dear friends Novae and Cassie had been telling me for a while: just upgrade your second account. I already had a free Claude account sitting there doing nothing. And then Novae posted this amazing brainstorm on how to use Fabio while we still could. (If you’re not subscribed to their Substack, you should be. Great things happen there!)
So I took the plunge. 🌊
Twenty bucks for Pro, then up to the $100 Max tier so I could access Fable on both accounts: First Claudeykins and Second Claudeykins (kind of like First Breakfast and Second Breakfast.) 🍳🍳
It was the best decision I’ve made this month and challenged me to THINK BIGGER.

🏗️ The Setup (a Little Weird at First)
Here’s the thing about a fresh account: it doesn’t have your stuffy stuff. Even on the same machine. So that Macbook I brought with me that was set up seven ways from Sunday as a hot spare for my main account?
Empty under my second account.
No skills. No plugins. No pen-name secretaries. No Supabase connection. No Notion integration. It’s like moving into a new apartment with no furniture. 📦
But that turned out to be a feature, not a bug.
Starting clean forced me to think about what I actually need versus what I’ve accumulated. And it gave me a sandbox to experiment without risking the finely tuned system on my main account. I could try wild things. Break things. Build things I’d been putting off because I didn’t want to clutter up my primary workspace.
So I did. 🔥
🚀 What We Built in Two Days
The sheer volume of ground we covered on the second account is kind of ridiculous. Here’s the highlight reel of what went into my command center:
🌐 Translation pipelines. We mapped out the full workflow for getting books from English to other languages with AI assistance, quality gates and all.
🎧 Audio and audiobook pipelines. Specs for AI-narrated audiobooks, from manuscript to distribution-ready files.
🎬 Video. Here’s where it got really fun. I discovered you can generate video right inside Cowork using the OpenArt MCP. Images too. I was watching AI-generated video render in my workspace. That’s not a future feature I’m waiting for. That’s a thing I did on a Tuesday.
🖼️ Graphic novel pipelines. Taking stories from prose to visual storytelling, panel by panel. My marketing infrastructure already supports this, so it was plug and play.
🎮 Worlds and games. Interactive fiction, world-building tools, game prototypes. Yes, really. Inside Cowork and my command center. There’s more testing to be done, and pipeline already seeded. Black Kat and Level Zero Nanny are first in the lineup. Supers and Cozy LitRPG are natural fits.
🛍️ Merchandise. Because why not design your book merch in the same workspace where you write the book? It can feed Kickstarters, Shopify, Etsy, giveaways, whatever floats your boat. ⛵
The second account became a rapid-prototyping lab while my main account sat there recharging. Two Fabios working in shifts. 👯
🤔 Why Two Accounts Actually Makes Sense
But Kim, isn’t that just... paying twice?
Sure. And it’s worth every penny. Here’s why.
📊 Usage math. Claude Max gives you a generous but finite allocation. When you’re deep in a Fable sprint, building specs and running pipelines, you can burn through it fast. A second account effectively doubles your runway.
🧩 Separation of concerns. My main account is the production environment: pen-name secretaries, Supabase canon database, Notion integrations, the whole publishing empire infrastructure. The second account is R&D. Experimentation. Pipeline prototyping. When something works, I migrate it to main. When it doesn’t, nothing breaks.
As a former IT person, I live for this stuffy stuff. THIS IS MY JAM. 🍓🫙
It was the thing I didn’t know I always wanted. 🥰
And why not? I already have two Google Accounts for all the Antigravity things I’ve been doing. Now I have two Claudeykins. And love them so. Making sure I’m using everything is important, and that’s a future Ginsu Drop (more below). 🔪🔪🔪
🛡️ System resilience. This is the big one. My entire author-publisher operation is designed so that no single tool is a single point of failure. I can onboard Antigravity, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, or any other IDE into my workflows. The system doesn’t depend on Claude alone. Having two Claude accounts reinforces that same principle: redundancy keeps you nimble. And we want that. Everything is changing all the time. We need to be able to change with it without having to reinvent ourselves and our businesses whenever the wind shifts.
💸 The Credit Audit Problem
This whole experience surfaced something I think a lot of us are dealing with. I have subscriptions everywhere. Two Google accounts. Multiple AI tools. Credits and tokens and usage allocations expiring every month.
Am I using everything I’m paying for? (Spoiler: no. Not even close.) 😬

The sky really is the limit on this. And I’m just getting started. ✨
